Case Dismissed Following Judicial Inquiry into Baseless Allegations
On 22 April 2000, allegations described as fabricated, baseless, and false were made against the book “Deen-e-Ilahi”, authored by Hazrat Syedna Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi (R.A.), by the Aalami Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (Central Convener, Hyderabad) and the Amir of Sipah-e-Sahaba, Hyderabad.
Following these allegations, a printing press was raided, and an FIR was registered at Sakhi Pir Police Station.
Subsequently, a full and detailed judicial inquiry into the matter was conducted. After examining the available evidence, records, and arguments, the Honourable Court dismissed the case on 15 December 2003 on the grounds of lack of evidence.
Accordingly, the matter was judicially concluded with the case being dismissed for want of evidence. The allegations made against Hazrat Syedna Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi’s (R.A.) book “Deen-e-Ilahi” were not established before the court.
This clarification is being issued to place the relevant facts on record before the public, media, and concerned circles, and to help dispel any misunderstanding or one-sided impression regarding the matter.
